Travel

There
are no direct flights to Dili, Timor Leste. Participants will have
to fly via Bali Indonesia or from Darwin, Australia. There is only
one flight from Denparsar Airport Bali, Indonesia to Comoro International
Airport Dili, Timor Leste which leaves at 9.00am each morning. Due
to this limited connection, participants might have to spend a night
at the transit point. This is also dependent on the arrival time
of the carrier from the country of embarkation.

Insurance
There
are 2 hospitals in Timor Leste, the Government Hospital and UN Medical
Center. However you might be able to get access to major accident
cover at these hospitals. It is advisable to get insurance that
allows you to be medivaced out of the country.
Health
Although
not so prevalent in the capital, Dili, visitors can be exposed to
dengue fever and malaria. Use of mosquito repellants are appropriate
clothing such as long sleeved shirts and triusers particularly at
sunset is advised. Avoid the use of perfumes as they attract mosquitoes.
